Programme Highlights:
Intelligent metering is an essential part
of the infrastructure for smart cities. Water Supplies Department (WSD) has
been developing the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) System for the newly
developed projects and the existing dwelling flats where the mechanical type
meters are not easily accessed and effectively monitored. This seminar will
introduce the WSD’s conventional metering requirements and its drawback. The
speaker will brief the smart metering system being adopted by the WSD,
different types of meters, meter accuracy, outstation, wireless communication, LoraWan,
NB-IoT, MBus wiring, walk-by reading, as well as case sharing.

BEng, BCom
Mr Fung is the Director of Well Group (HK)
Ltd. which is one of the suppliers of the WSD. He is specialised in the AMR
system and has achieved successful completion of several projects related to the
AMR system.
