Besides, Prof KC Ho’s primary interests in
red tides and phytoplankton ecology, he is involved in a wide spectrum of
research projects including water quality monitoring, sewage and effluent
treatment, environmental legislation and management, environmental ethics and
polar ecological research. He led his research
team to visit Caspian Islands, China's Arctic village. Prof Ho visited the Antarctica and he will share with us what they have
seen in trip and the results of scientific research.

Prof. Ho Kin Chung, BBS JP is the Dean
of School of Science & Technology and Ng Chun Man Professor in
Environmental Science and Conservation of The Open University of Hong Kong.
With regard to polar research, Prof. Ho visited the Arctic eight times and
Antarctica three times. His research interests in the polar region include the
global distribution and biogeography of harmful algae, change of water
resources and water quality in Polar Regions and, the ecological significance
of lichens in the coastal areas of polar region
