A technical visit to Shenzhen Topray Solar Manufacturing photovoltaic factory and project jointly organized by AMC and EVD was held on 10 March 2018, 40 participants joined. The teams were led by Ir Kelvin Tang, Chairman of EVD and Mr Derek Man, past Chairman of AMC. Ms Jenny Lam, Sales Director and Ir Cedric Wong co-ordinating the visit representing Topray Solar and scheduled the programme. 

We assembled at Futian Port in the morning and arranged to take a coach in the journey. Our first visit point was Qianhai Xinlikang Building where 440 photovoltaics (PV) crystalline panels (each size 1640 x 992 x 40 mm³) installed at the roof floor of the building to collect solar energy, the total electricity power generated is 116.6 kilo Watts (kW). Mr X H Chen, deputy chief engineer, introduced us the operation of the system.

After lunch, we visited the Topray Solar PV panels production factory at Guangming District, Shenzhen, their products range included crystalline solar cells & solar modules, thin solar film cells & solar modules, a wide range of solar related consumer products to serve customers around the world. We were led to visit around the factory with production line of PV panels. Ms Jenny Yang briefed us their products included difference solar chargers, solar home power kits, solar heat collectors as well as solar plant projects.

After taking a group photo in front of the factory main entrance, where factory had prepared with a big banner to welcome our visit teams, we then to take coach to another project in Nanshan District, where 120 PV panels were installed at roof floor and we could inspected the electricity meter to record the power collected from solar energy in one day.

Final destination was to meet with Topray Solar Group Chairman Mr Chen Wukui and Deputy Chairman, Dr Lisa Li & President International Sales, Mr. Frank Lin in their company headquarter, Shenzhen Qiaoxiang Road. Mr Chen had discussed with us the development and difficulty of solar energy projects. Ir. Kelvin Tang had introduced HKIE and our teams in return. Our members had raised questions actively. Lastly, our team leaders presented our souvenir to Topray Solar and thank you very much for their excellent visit arrangement. The team was returned to Futian Port. The visit was end with very successfully.
