Unleashing the Potential of Hybrid Reality to Smart City Applications

Date, time & venue

2018-08-24;18:30-20:00;Chan Yat Mei Sophie Room – 9/F

Jointly Organized by CAD, AMC and EVD

Programme Highlights:

While many professional advocates, especially in AEC disciplines, are contributing to streamlining the process of BIM utilization from design, manufacture, assembly, fabrication to facility management, we are trying to dig into another perspective of developing the possibilities of applying BIM for Smart City development.

Hybrid Reality, is defined by a combination of BIM objects, Reality Meshes, Point Clouds and any other forms of 3D modeling and attributes. We believe that making use of Hybrid Reality Models, together with today’s innovative technologies such as Location Intelligence, Cloud Streaming Technology, Big Data Management and Artificial Intelligence, will change the way of massive data visualization with intuitive 3D environments, empowering users to draw useful insights from raw data and streamline the decision-making process.

In the presentation, real-life applications range from Property Management, Construction Progress Monitoring and Facility Management to Virtual Training & Simulation will be introduced. Audiences will be inspired by the creative and extendable advantages brought by BIM.
