Highlights:
The Drainage Services Department has launched a
few large-scale rehabilitation projects in
recent years and there will be more drainage
works in upcoming decades. Thus there are increasing concerns about the
occupational safety and health matters when dealing with drainage condition
inspection, rehabilitation work for existing drainage facilities as well as
underground storm drains and sewers. It is extremely impossible to completely
divert sewage from existing facilities to carry out the works. These works
always faces various work hazards, and it is necessary to work safely inside
confined spaces. In the seminar, the speaker is going to share how a project
team dealing with the daily work challenges and complying to legal requirements
so as to ensure the safety and health of all persons who would enter into or
work in confined spaces.
Speaker
Mr. Ric Ng Wai Lun, Senior Engineer of Freyssinet HK Limited,
who has substantial working experiences as a project-in-charge for various drainage repair projects for
more than 25 years. He supervises project team to tackle various work
challenges inside existing live sewer.
