Programme Highlights:
Fire engineering approach has been adopted in Hong Kong for a considerate
period of time. Since then, numerous projects have used such approach for
designing new buildings and infrastructures. This seminar will review the general principles of fire engineering, statutory
requirements, methodology and latest trend. The speaker will further discuss
the best practices in using engineering approach and finally, he will share
some case studies with the audience.

Ir Albert Yau MHKIE RPE CEng MIEAust MIFireE
Albert is the Director of Fire Safety
Consultants Limited. He has over 25 years of contracting and
consultancy experience in building services and fire engineering for various types of building and infrastructure projects in Hong Kong and
Australia. His specific areas of interest include performance-based fire
engineering techniques, cost effective fire safety solutions, fire safety
audit, fire expert for legal issues, hot smoke tests, mechanical service and
fire safety systems, smoke control systems, interpretation of building codes
and regulations, simulation modelling of fire and evacuations.

The number of the participants is 100, including 30 physical attendance. Application will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be closed on 6 November
2024 or when all places are filled up. Attendance
certificate will be delivered to the designated participants who have requested and fulfilled attendance requirements
not less than ¾ of the total duration. For
